At this point in time Benson still visits Seattle Children's Hospital (SCH) at least once a week for follow up appointments. We have equipment at home that allows us to measure Benson's oxygen saturation and heart rate. He's been doing so great during the day that after our most recent visit with his pulmonologist we were given permission to take him off oxygen during the day. He still requires oxygen support at night. He is visited by a physical therapist in our home once a week. This is such a relief as we try to avoid public areas as much as possible. Unfortunately Benson is still being advised to stay away from public places, except for our visits to SCH of course. As new parents this is a different place to be. For now we can show you the light of our lives through this blog. Our plan is to show you lots of pictures that capture his personality and progress.
Reflecting on Benson's progress reminds us how much your prayers and support have impacted his life. He is a true miracle! We are so grateful for the power of God, his caregivers and your thoughtfulness!

Yay so happy you came to the blogger world! He is so adorable! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteomg. I love him.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I think its a great forum to keep us all in the loop. I'm sure we all understand the importance of protecting Benson during this transition time. As much as I would love to see him, kiss that sweet head, and hug all of you I can gladly wait knowing that he is where he should be and gaining strength against all contaminents out here. Thanks for this wonderul update. I got the chance to sit next to grandma Loretta at mass this weekend (and aunt Kassie) which made prayers for Benson all the more special. Hugs and love, Patti K
