Central Oregon Visits

In the Borgen family we create our own March Madness. We celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's birthdays and their wedding anniversary.  For a few years now we've made it a tradition to get together one weekend in March and honor these two special people.  Last year everyone came to Edmonds in April to celebrate Benson's homecoming. This year it was a blast to have the boys together in Oregon joining in the usual fun.

The pictures below were taken during Benson's first visit in August.

Family Means Everything To Us

Recently Benson experienced two very special trips.  We flew to Hawaii with my side of the family and a week later drove to central Oregon to spend time with Erik's side of the family.  Looking back at the blog I realized I never posted pictures of Benson's first trip to Oregon so in my next post I'll share pictures from August too.  It's amazing how much Benson and his cousin Hudson have changed.

I think a major reason why Erik and I happily (might sound like an odd word under the circumstances - but it's true) survived the stress and trauma from Benson's hospital days is because family is our number one priority.  We both come from loving and supportive homes. We were able to use our previous experiences of being loved to help support each other.
